Nahomi was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1982, and grew up in Okayama City.

In March 2005 she received a Bachelor degree at Kyoto City University of Arts with an emphasis in Conceptual and Media Art. As an undergraduate, she worked with various media, and for her thesis project she made an animated film mixed with live action images, which won an award at its exhibition.

Now she is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Southern California, in the Department of Cinema-Television's Division of Animation and Digital Arts. She will graduate in 2008.
